« on: December 08, 2009, 07:56:32 PM »

I was reading at the Tequilla SESG has 2 bottles for the Touch Up paint set, but I only got one when I bought the paint for the Candy Concord. Did anybody buy the blue paint yet and how many bottles came in your kit??

Big difference between the TS and the CC paints.  I think the CC may only have only one color but I don't think you're going to find a usuable code on it.  The MoCo likes to protect the paint codes for the CVOs.

It was reported last year that if you look in the tunnel of the fuel tank, remove the piece of tape the paint code is under there.  I've never saw it, but haven't heard anybody deny it, either. :nixweiss:

I thought he was looking for the part number which is what I will get for him.....the actual paint code is probably locked up somewhere in NASA :)

Part number on the bottle is 94733.....and yes..this does not look like a regular HD part number but that is it.

When somebody removes their fuel tank.....would you turn it over and look under it for a piece of tape that the paint code should be under and post it here for everybody.

On the SEEGs it took us several years to learn what they are.  Painters would "match" but it wasn't the actual paint code.

I will see if the dealer has my old damaged fuel tank when I pick up my bike on Saturday.

Also--I am getting my painted inner fairing Friday morning and if it matches then Gunslinger Custom Paint in Colorado will have the correct match for our bikes.

They matched my color from a side cover. I don't think they have the Harley code.

Shops that use Dupont paint can take a picture with a special camera, scan it & the computer spits out the mix. It's done by weight on a computerized scale.Had a tour pac & lowers done & I'd call it a perfect match.I'll post some pics when I get everything mounted.

Not sure how they did it, but I do know they did not have the color code.......Here is a thread with pics of the inner fairing that Gunslingers did for me.   http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=48053.0
