Hi Rod! Don't you just love the bike!! Luckily, I haven't had any engine problems as of yet. The only problems that I have had is the tank loosened up, and I just don't get enough time off from work to ride!

Thanks for the reply Janine  ;D,

Yeah great bike. Just the engine probs in the back of your head.

I have put 3750 miles on mine (6000 k) and no leaks. The heads tick like a time bomb which is one of the problems inherent with the 110ci. I have received the upgrade letter from HD and the book but no notification of when to bring the bike in for the upgrade.

How many miles on yours - sounds like not many.

Regards

Rod

I couldn't remember what the mileage was so had to hook the battery back up (installed a Howard's Horn as the stock horn only squeeked, a problem that I forgot to mention) and I have 7757 miles. I also got the book and letter. I was going to take it in last fall, but I decided to wait until spring. Now I think I'll wait until next fall, as I have no leaks, and they give us two years to have the work done. I was going to take it to the dealer that is close to me, but when they take a bike in, it could sit there for 3-4 weeks before they get to it. The dealer where I bought the bike is a bit away, but they make appointments and take it in at the appointed time, so it would only be there for 6 hours. Right now it is sitting in my livingroom, but she's going out to play this weekend!

Hi again Janine,

Good decision. I think I'll take mine to near the time limit as well depending on how it goes. I'm a bit lucky I have another bike to ride when it is in. When I was 19 I brought a Kawasaki Z1. I got married and had kids (villians) and put her (the bike) to bed in the garage for around 20 years. She is 37 now and looks like new.

Regards

Rod
