Hawg-Wired Installed !!!
« on: March 27, 2006, 03:29:24 AM »

Well today the little lady and I went to see Jim ( H-D Dude ) for a Hawg-wire install on the Cherry it's right at 95 miles from my house to Jim's and just about all freeway. On the way up I was playing my tunes, and noticed I needed to Volume just about full blast to hear it good. After he installed the speakers & Amp, and on the way home I had it just half way up and it was so loud that Suzanne could hear it on her bike and she was in front of me. What! a difference the sound and clearity. Thanks Jim it was a great investment. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

On the 06, I would still like to see if the 160W amp can be "bridged" so that it is 2x80 instead of 4x160.  Then, install the Hawg Wired in the front as a 160W 2x80.

Then, Make the tourpac detachable.

With it on, have a 4x80, 320W system, off a 160W 2x80 system.

I just need a sanity check to see if this can be done with the HD Amp, if so, then I think I have the skills to do it.

hd-dude,

Will the new Hawg-Wired setup let me make my 06 CUSE, able to remove my tour pak similar to what byronb has done?
I am differently interested if the tour pak could become a quick detach but I don't want to give up the quality of my stereo.
Please let me know your thoughts and if it will work, when can you ride to Iowa for an install....lol

They do have the new Component speakers and that is correct the final pricing has not been determined. It will be about $250 for them though. The four channel is not here yet, I expect it to be this next week sometime along with the lower fairing speakers. No pricing info yet. And thanks for your commitment to do biz with me [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Jeff;
Yes, All of the amplification for the 4-channel will be in the fairing. You can purchase the antenna relocation kit and docking hardware kit for your tourpak and make it detachable. HD does not have a relocation kit for the CB antenna so you will have to fab something or not use it while the tourpak is off. Ride to Iowa....Hummmmm

HD-Dude

Quick disconnect plugs already on the wiring setup for easy detachment?
