Changing Wheels
« on: October 11, 2018, 07:24:39 AM »

I have been considering changing wheels and rotors on my 2015 Road Glide. I want to stay with Harley wheels as there are many I like. Problem is every wheel listed that fits “touring” models says it won’t fit CVO unless originally equipped with that particular wheel. Since most forks and fenders are the same on the big touring bikes I am not sure why they list CVO’s as a no fit option.
Does anyone know why this is?

I wish I could give you HD’s reasoning but I can’t. From everything I can tell, any touring model wheel will actually fit, you may need different rotors depending on application. When I was trying to find out why my 2013 was having handling issue I used a regular Strret Glide wheel to sort my issue without any problems. Pick the one you like.

Check the bolt pattern of the brake rotors, you may find your answer.

Most likely.  But if someone really wants those wheels all they have to do is also buy the proper rotors to fit the wheels, and possibly different  axle spacers depending on model year differences.
