Blurred LCD display - Audio System Front Panel

My LCD display is blurred, - looks like some protective tape.

Do they use protective tape?

There is no tape, but a protective UV coating. Coating is pretty fragile and can be partially "washed off" with some cleaning solvents making the display look foggy
