Title: TW 408-6 and head work
Post by: Zinister on November 12, 2010, 11:49:52 AM
Having some work done under warranty. Shop suggested a build with 10.5:1 and TW408-6 cam. Also doing head work & roller rockers.

Has anyone used this build and what were the results. Any concerns I should know about ie correcting the valvetrain geometry?

I have Bub 7 slip ons for exhaust if that makes a big difference.

09 Springer 110 ci.

Customer just finished one wih a TW400
Don't have the details yet other than he needed a new clutch, no surprise.
Corrected geometry is SOP here and Baisley roller rockers along with Wood 188# springs and directional lifters, plus Smith .120 wall tapered adjustable pushrods.

Don please post the results.

I've been told this should be a monster.

I'd be interested in a quote for you doing the heads and what work you would suggest to be done.

Thanks

I have 408-6 cams plus Hillside headwork and roller rockers on my 2010 SE Ultra 110. Very satisified with the performance. Pulls strong from anywhere in the powerband.

Do you have a dyno sheet of the 408-6 cams you can share?

Did you put in 10.5:1 pistons?

I stayed with stock 110" pistons at the recommendation of Scott at Hillside Heads
