If it turns out to be put on with some kind of stick-em, it may be easily removed like
you would remove the funny bicycle reflectors they put on the forks.
Try this trick, it has always worked for me.
Get some of the waxed dental floss, and anchor each end to something you can
hold on to.  You want to do this to keep it from digging into your hands.
Start it on the upper edge of the thing-a-ma- bob and pull it down with a sawing motion.
It will separate the adhesive from the paint without causing any damage.
Just use rubbing alcohol to clean off any residue.
My bike came in this week, and I am gonna get rid of that POS as soon as I start to detail it.

Checked this out when I went to see my seeg at the dealer this week.  It is the anchor point for the bag mounts.  They could have probably come up with a better set up, but that covering the bolt everthing connects to
