well, yeah.  That's a good reason.  But, I was thinking about if you were to drink to many big-boy beverages and had a tendency to fall down, wouldn't having a helmet be a good idea?    [smiley=drink.gif]    [smiley=beerchug.gif]   [smiley=1syellow1.gif]  Har!  spyder

I am not telling that story Spyder.

try the helmet guardian from cyclegadgets.com.  It mounts behind your license plate and will lock both helmets (one on each side)

I've got a buddy that cut his 3/4 lid in half, (like right between the eyes,) and put a hinge in it so it lays flat in the saddle bag....   seems to work for him, but I'm not sure I would wear the helmet in traffic....  not to mention that when he leaves it on the seat, no one is interested enough to steal it... I never thought of the padlock, long shackle disc lock combo for helmets.  What a perfect solution, with little space requirements.  Genius thinking!

I used to use a Masterlock gun lock cable lock when I had a full face helmet for my last bike.  Just goto   http://www.masterlocks.com/item_master.asp?int_id=323   They will fit almost anywhere in your chopped tour pack or saddlebags.  Hope this helps you.  Good luck and Ride Safe. I mounted two helmet locks, one on each side of the front engine guard. Trying to get 2 ful face on one lock is a pain in the a... takes some patience.  Got one HD and one Kuryakyn, identical lock and the key heads are different shapes for easy ID, even in the dark.
