Title: Filler for gap in hitch
Post by: fkjunkin on September 15, 2019, 11:48:29 PM
Bought a Bushtec hitch for my 2011 FLTRUSE from a poster here and after install it hangs down approx 3 inches below fender, looking to fill the gap with perhaps a mudflap or some type of panel but having a bit of difficulty finding an off the shelf solution.

any ideas?

I had the Bushtec hitch for my '11 FLTRUSE, and if I removed the draw bar (with hitch pin attached) it barely showed below the fender.  Not sure why yours shows.

At work right now and dont have pic but the hitch plate is 3 inches below bottom of fender. Obviously incorrect hitch but it is bought and installed so filling the gap is better than starting over for me.

Put a rear fascia with the tri bar light in it to fill that gap.

Bet what you bought is the V3 hitch which is made for the bikes with the gascia.
