Rocker covers removal
« on: June 08, 2019, 11:21:03 AM »

Hi,

I need to replace my rocker covers gaskets on my 2017 FLHXSE M8 114 they are leaking, I have started to remove parts (gas tank, top rocker cover) but before I go to far has anybody seen a video on youtube how to do this ?

I don't have the shop manual I started the job this morning and want to finish it today.

Do I need to remove the actual rockers to remove the middle plate for the covers ?
If yes i'm assuming I need to put the rear cylinder at TDC ? (When I remove the rear rockers)

Thanks for your help !!!!

Probably no help, but its a known issue with a thicker replacement gasket. Dealer did both under warranty only rear was leaking.

I assume you got the thicker gasket?
