New guy from CT - '16 RG CVO Silver/Silver
« on: April 25, 2017, 09:44:06 PM »

Hello All,

Former Ultra Limited (FLHTK) owner here. I just traded the Ltd & bought the Road Glide.

After owning and riding it for about a month, I can honestly say that I feel like I was born to ride the Glide. It truly one awesome ride!

The fact that it's a CVO adds a $hitload of icing to the Road Glide cake. Looking forward to spending a lot of time on this site.

Welcome to the best forum on the Internet for CVO owners, and congratulations on your beautiful new Harley; coming to you from the clear lakes and the twisty mountain roads of north Arkansas!

After you get settled on the forum, I hope you'll check out the threads about our CVO Harley Get-Togethers (GTG's) in the Events Section.  We always have a great time at these events, and it's an excellent way to put faces with forum names, but more importantly - to make new friends and riding buddies!  Plus it's always cool to see what the other owners are doing to their bikes.

If you're interested, follow these leads to find out more information about our Eureka Springs early June 2017 Get-Together, or PM me and I'll be happy to tell you more about it:

We currently have around 85 bikes and 135 people signed up for this event and expect more to join us in the coming weeks, so consider making your reservations now if you want to attend!  We are getting a group discount for this event, and the hotel is perfect for our needs and the scenery and roads will be a blast!

We're glad to have you with us!

As a new Street Glide owner, which was a huge step up in every way from my 05 Springer Classic, I have to ask what is it about the RG you like so much better than the Bat wing?  Frame and Susp are the same right? so its down to the fairing, which seems to be a love hate relationship on here.  Sitting on a RG just seems like you are more exposed to the wind when cruising esp. your hands.  It gets cold here in Germany and I have cold weather injuries so I really feel it. Yes yes heated grips, loved them on my Springer, but don't get me started still pissed that when I read up on the 2015 CVO SG, all the HD publications/web said it came w/heated grips but it didn't.  :soapbox:

Personally have always kinda liked the RG fairing, going to have to take one out one of these days.
