2012 FLHTCUSE new gauges
« on: October 29, 2011, 09:59:31 AM »

I need some help here guys...
I noticed when the street glide came out with the new composite looking gauges I thought they looked sweet...however they did not offer the other 2 gauges offered for fitting in all the holes...(The S/G with the tweeters in the dash 2011?) Not the titanium face
I think I saw that the 2012 FLHTCUSE have the complete set of gauges...
I'm needing the numbers so I can order them...
Also does Harley offer the Oil Temp Gauge yet in that pattern?
thanks
paul

You're wanting to lose the tweeters to gain the two gauges back?

From his signature he appears to have an 09' SG so would not have the tweeters.  Sounds like he is just looking to upgrade his current gauges with the CVO ones.

I've got the signatures turned off in the site settings so never see those.  Just saw the Street Glide listed on the left and mentioned in the post.

I don't see a kit listed in the accessory catalog for the Diamond Cut gauges, just the Titanium, but the following individual part numbers might do the trick.  There is an oil temp gauge for the Titanium set, but I can't find one for the Diamond Cut.

Speedo, MPH       -  70731-10      $271.00
Tachometer         -  74740-10        208.00
Oil Pressure         -  74727-10         72.99
Fuel                   -  74741-10         85.00
Volt Meter           -  74743-10         55.00
Air Temp             -  74742-10         72.99

Why would anyone want the air temp gauge? :nixweiss:

Especially (air temp) in analog.  2012 has them. They must have needed to fill a hole.

I wish that Harley would wake up and use an oil temp gauge instead of air temp.  At least offer it as an option for those of us that have the SE gauges...

I'm sure they'll come out with one Earnie.  They have for all the previous CVO gauges.  But I'm with you.  I've never understood the ambient air temp gauge.  That has never made sense to me.

Why put it in at the Factory, when they know 80% of riders will change it out :soapbox:

Oh, that's a very simple answer...$$$$$$.  Why give someone something when you know you can turn around and get more money out of them for an after-the-sale install?  Just makes good business sense, and we all drink the kool-aid and go along with it.

I used it the following way: Purchased a VDO mechanical air pressure gauge, disassembled it and disassembled the air temp gauge too. Obtained the glass, face and needle from the air temp g and assembled into pressure gauge. Looks now similar than other small gauges except that the needle is in the center of the gauge :). (Here in Eu they don´t sell pressure gauges that has needle axle at the lower section of the face.) Now I can see the relative pressure in my Legend rear shocks! 8)
