Well I asked my dealer to give me a call when they received a new CVO Road Glide because "I just wanted to see one in person..." BIG MISTAKE!
When I saw it in person I HAD TO HAVE IT. Traded in the CVO Street Glide and brought the new one home Sunday! The pic below is my old bike on the Left and the new Beast on the Right!

Another Pic.

Very Nice!

Congrats and welcome to the Shark Club!!

Congrats and welcome to the Shark Club!!
Thanks! This is my 2nd Road Glide - I have previously owned a 2012 Big Blue Pearl Road Glide Custom and I never forgot how smooth it was on the long hauls and interstates! And the new Rushmore Road Glides just look Bad Ass!
-
Congratulations and welcome to the sharks.

I had the same problem, that is a beautiful color scheme. In my opinion the best set Harley has done, slightly edging out the Skunk, but I of course may be bias. Went to the dealership to pick up my 2014 Road King CVO, walked around to take a look and they Just rolled out the 2019 Road Glide CVO. Needless to say it was mine shortly after.
-
congrats. ride safe.
-
Congrats.
I like the look!
-
very nice. it does seem to 'pop' even more when parked next to your old bike.
-
Beautiful bike!
-
You have great taste! I traded my identical 16 SG last month and just waiting for a Dec 15th delivery date on identical 19 RG! I as well think it is the best of the triplets but I am a chrome guy so biased. All 3 are extremely hard to come by up here in Canada.

It is hard to walk away from! I like the statue in the background! Need one for my garage :)

Me too! I am not into all of this black out theme that seems to dominate the new Harleys. My kids say it's because I am old!
-
My concern with the black based is what I am going through with my wife's new 114 Black Heritage. The black powder coating on the front suspension already looks like someone shot it with a 12 gauge. I took pictures and sent to my dealer to send on to HD for warranty claim but I know they will say wear and tear. Chrome on my 16 front end still like the day it came out of the factory and we generally ride together.
-
did ya get a fair deal?

did ya get a fair deal?
Fair enough that I bought it! Started the day and they were asking 1500 over MSRP and not willing to give enough for my bike. Also supposedly "had someone else coming in later to buy it if I didn't" I walked out in the morning and went home, they called me later in the afternoon and said the other person could not get financed and they were willing to come down to MSRP and go heavy enough in my bike that we got it done :) Wrapped it up the same day.
-
That's a striking color, congrats....beautiful bike.

I am a chrome guy too. Never liked the blacked out. But...I went with the 19 in red pepper and yes, blacked out. Bike is in but in NJ. Have to get her down to FL. Working on that now.
-
Congratulations on the new bike!
-
I must say I do like the color scheme...So many have sucked...Phreakyz I just drove passed AD last Sunday..Congrats! O-H!
I will agree with Fred786..Not a blacked out fan..It does chip off...Give me my chrome..Hope your dealer can help you out with that.. :(
-
I never liked the "black" look either and my kids would always call me a old man and "not with it". In 12 I got the Maple Roadglide with was mostly chrome with black accents and I loved it. Then in 17 I got the Streetglide which was mostly black with chrome accents and loved that. Now my Mako Shark just came in which is blacked out and I really love that. Tastes change for sure, my kids still call me a "old man" though..

Beautiful bike...congratulations!
And smart play with your being patient and negotiating make it all the better.
I think they have your trade listed on their website for $33k so the discounting they did for you they hope to make up on the next guy who maybe isn't as savvy. But that's how the game goes.
Whenever a dealer tells me they have a (straw) buyer wanting the bike so I better jump on it I tell them no worries I have another dealer to go see when I leave here who has the exact same bike and the Sales Manager who won't stop calling quoted me a better deal over the phone that beats your offer by $_____________ OTD if I buy it today. I just wanted to see what you could do before I pulled the trigger to insure his offer was the great deal he claimed.....
No dealer ever wants to let a serious and qualified buyer leave the store. Its funny how fast they can get down to the right numbers with a just little well placed prodding. Trust me if they had another serious and qualified buyer wanting that bike one of the salesman or the Sales Manager himself would have already had a "hold tag" on it since selling a CVO pays them a premium commission which every salesman lives for. I can't tell you how many times a salesman has chased me to my truck....."wait, wait, wait" my boss wants to rework the numbers he thinks we can get there or even beat it. LOL.
Enjoy the new ride.

nice bike . I love that scheme.

What are you getting done?

What are you getting done?
right now at stereo shop getting crazy system installed, going to sound amazing when done. Should be done on Thursday then dealer can finish switching over rest of mods from 17 SG. CA has still not approved the stage 4 and I don't want to take delivery until bike is complete. really hope Harley gets the approval next week as everything else will be done and it will drive me insane to keep waiting!

2 Arc 600 series amps, Arc DSP, Focal ES 165 KX2's in fairing with Hertz horn tweeters added, Audiofrog GS693 6X9's in lids also with Hertz horn tweeters added. Stereo should be done by Friday (taking them a bit to hide horn tweeters under stock speaker lids) and when I go to hear it I will take pics and post.

Yes it was so hard to walk away from that I couldn't, haha. Thanks, had the statue made for the yard actually but I have not moved it out there yet, it's heavy. It's made out of cedar so will get a nice color as it ages here in the NW. Same guy made a smaller (4 foot) version for inside the house, very nice work.

Here is a pic of the way he installed the horn tweeters. Very clean
Will post more as he sends to me

Wow that looks nice. Probably sounds better than it looks.

Need to meet up sometime for lunch so I can see that beauty. Hopefully we can still get a day or three before the salt hits the road.
-
Congratulations on the bike and the sounds system will sounds great for sure!

Any updates Alan? My Mako is due in tomorrow. :drink:
-
Almost the SAME thing happened to me.
Fell out of my chair when I saw the 2019 in that color combo.
Buddy of mine called a week or so ago and said they had one at Stampede and that the Sales Manager was a great guy.
3hrs later and it's all over but the mods to come!!
Dig it ... best paint across all of the CVO's in quite some time ...

Cool! Post Lots Of Pics! Us "Ohio Folks" have to ride vicariously through this forum most of the winter!

Mine not due to arrive at dealership until Jan 8th and ordered back in Sept. We get so few of them up here. But I guess with a $54,000.00 list price I know why, plus another $5,000 in accessories, gulp. So basically PDI, in my trailer and head to Florida for 3 mths. Want me to pick up up on way through? LOL
