OBB made a comment in another thread about a dealer that caused me to ponder - When was the last time I visited a HD dealership? Have not been to one in 2019, last time was December 2018.
How often do you visit a HD dealership? Poll allows one response. You are welcome to leave comments below with any reasons why or why not.

Been a couple of years. I have friends that usually go there and if I need something they pick it up for me. I use to go every year to check out the new bike, but not much I would care to look at has come out in the last few years...
-
Just go there as a hangout/ meet up place. We can usually get a decent free lunch but, never buy anything.
-
Well, last time was before Christmas 2018 so December of last year. No need to visit for a while...big Chief (tain) may get heapum jealous... ;D
-
Once or twice a season, usually during an open house when there's a band, free food, and parts discount.

Don't go like I used too twenty years ago when I got back into riding... then I was going 2/3 times a month. Back then dealership was small(er)... I knew the owner's, & staff on first name basis. Would go just to hang out shoot the bull, ride, go to lunch/dinner with them... it was like visiting family. Now most dealerships are like "Super Walmart's"... owners never around, employees change so frequently it's not worth learning their names... and asking a lot of them "technical" type questions forget about it... majority don't own or ride a bike.
With that said I do need to visit one soon... got couple hundred dollars of "chrome cash" to spend that I got from using my H-D credit card. I'm getting to the point that I'm going to stop using that card and use another one that I will use the perks that accumulate.

Would have to guess about 6 times a year and two of those are for service. The other ones are just normally due to happen to be in the area on my lunch break so I stop in to shoot the breeze for a bit.

I visit the local dealership a couple times a week when I am home. They have a nice restaurant and bar on site. They also have concerts on Saturday nights.

Same scenario here. Years ago when stores were individually owned things were much different. Enjoyed riding there for a donut to shoot the breeze & look at the new bikes. Stopped using the HD Visa several years ago & switched to another card that pays a better rebate. Rebate is not limited to 1 use - HD - as the HD rebate was. Actually now have several cards that pay rebates & use each one to the best advantage. Way back then was mostly the HD Visa & the rebate was spent for HP & shiny objects.

If you find HD is circling the wagons & shooting, advise against whooping & riding around & around those wagons in a circle.....

Am guessing I know the dealership you are referring to & if I lived near enough would do the same as you.

Pretty much only when I need parts, they are not too far away.
-
I go when I need a part right away. If I can wait I buy the parts on line.

This is me also. My closest dealership is 1 hour away and then the next is 2 hours away. Like many others I use to like just stopping in to visit but now that some have gone to being owned by a corporation it isn't the same anymore.
