I followed behind a CVO Ultra Classic on I-10 here in Tucson in a blue color that I'd not seen before. Bike was loaded, rider wearing a Nolan modular helmet and leathers.....then I noticed the license plate.....Wisconsin. But it was the normal "orange" license plate that I've seen in the past on my journeys. It was a black plate with white (or possibly silver or gray) numbers/letters. Wisconsin across the top of the plate and "MFG" on the bottom of the plate under the numbers.
He turned off at Tucson Harley Davidson. I thought "well, that must be somebody from the MoCo out for a cross country ride and visiting dealerships".

The plates are shown and info on them here:

I see the two plates that have MFG on them. However, the plate that I saw was a black plate with light colored numbers/letters (possibly white, silver or gray).
