I’m pushing 66k and I redline it a lot but no smoke and I can run with my buddies on their 117s.
I replaced the cam tensioners and cam plate , bearings, and pushrods about 7k miles ago, so I should be good.

I’ve got 65k on mine and it runs great, doesn’t smoke or use oil.  Unless you’re redlining every time you take off, you’re good for at least 100k.  With proper maintenance (regular oil changes, cam chain tensioner and inner cam bearing replacement) I would think as much as 150k could be possible.

So if you go with an aftermarket head unit, pre-amp volts are key.  You want at least 4 volts but 5 would be better.  There may be units with more but 5 is the most I’ve ever seen.

You’d have to go with a high level input (speaker wires in & out). Or send the head unit off to have low level (RCA) outputs installed.  The high level is not going to sound as good and the low level pre-amp volts are going to be too low….either way, I don’t think you’d be happy with the sound.  Also you have to find components that work with 2ohm speakers, where most quality speakers are 4ohm.

Anyone have any idea how many miles you can get from the 103 on a 2004 SEEG before it needs a rebuild?

Can an amp be added to the stock system?
I read somewhere that it would not work

Scosche LAI10 Link Interface Harness with Steering Wheel Control Retention

I believe this is the one I bought.  Can’t remember if I got it on eBay or Amazon.

Would you happen to have the part number for the Schocse?
I don’t see anything on their website

Wiring ready to go. Custom dynamic lights installed. Just waiting for deutsch connector pins to arrive. Thankfully I made some space under the seat, otherwise the CD stuff would not be able to fit. You would think they could make the controller smaller and tidy up the wiring so it’s not so bulky. Had to separate the wiring too so that it could go to left and right hand side of bike.
