S&S 635 cams in 124HC
« on: June 05, 2015, 02:55:01 PM »

Hey guys I have a 124 HC (640 cams) in a 09 road glide with a procharger. The 640 cams are not a good match for the blower and the static pressure. The cams blow a lot of the boost off. I'm wondering if anyone has taken the new 635s that come with the new 143 and tried them in a 124HC? I'm thinking they might make better mid range power. Anyone have any experience?

You may want to talk to TR at Tman. He has the baddest Pro Charger build on the planet. 360 HP to the ground.
Its the real deal.

Steve last time I talked to him at his shop about all he wanted to talk about is building something that would make a bunch of HP at redline. But I don't ride at redline. So I would like something to run hard from 3000 to 5000 instead of 4500 to 6000 and more usable torque. This cam is late and bleeds off a lot of boost. it makes pretty good HP (202) and ok TQ (178) but starts really late.

Consider talking to Dan Thayer who also has similar experience.

He's an MMA flyweight fighter from Maine.  Doesn't look like he's had any professional fights yet  :nixweiss:   http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Dan-Thayer-158819

Dan Thayer designs and builds Oil Pumps & Cam Plates for TC motors. T-Man carries some of his products.

You might want to contact Frank at Drago's, he has a lot of experience with Forced Induction HDs.

Have you asked S&S what Cams they recommend for you?

Dan has helped campaign bikes at Bonneville which were boosted. And has helped design fuel systems. Nice guy knowledgeable and nothing to sell you.
