Hi Ironhorse,
I don't know if that part is the Harley version of an adaptor made by Jagg Industries or not?
I had a bracket like that only polished aluminum made by Jagg and it had a seperate thermostat in the oil lines that ran to an upright oil cooler which was mounted on the frame downtube of a 1997 Fatboy I owned. It worked well and I had no problems with it.
You may want to check for a Jagg website or maybe on a site like J&P cycles or Dennis Kirk?

VaEagle,

You are correct. I just surfed Jagg, and saw them on the site. Since they are Jagg, I know they are a quality product. And since you had no problems with it, I don't think I will either. Doesn't Jagg make the stuff for HD anyway? If so, it should be the same as the HD one right?

Hi Ironhorse,
Yes I was told when I bought my Jagg setup that they were the supplier for Harley. That was back about 1998 but I don't know if they have changed suppliers or not. I do like the built in thermostat in the newer setup.
