Folks,

It is time to get a new bike - the 2009 Ruby Red Ultra Classic CVO HAS 55,000 miles.

Has anyone seen the 2015 CVO Limited in the color of Gold Rush / Carbon Dust?

I actually bought the Ruby Red based on the HD web site picture and comments from this board? It turned out to be a great color and a great bike, most of the time. Some of the recent gold HD colors have not been the best.

Comments about the color?

Granted I've only seen it in pics, but I like it. It would probably by my 1st choice.

I love the one with the gray on top then the 2 reds underneath.

I've seen it. It is very impressive. My only problem is black and gold are Squealer(Steeler) colors. I'm a life long Cowboys fan so it would not work for me. All joking aside, I think it is one of the more stunning paint schemes they have had on an Ultra. The gray and maroon is beautiful in person also.

Saw one at Cool Springs but their prices are rediculous. The black has just a hint of metallic in it and the gold is a fairly bright gold. Nice looking bike but I kind of took a liking to the red last year. Might have to consider a shark to get the red.

Linked below is Cool Springs ad for the Limited. You might get a little better feel for color from their photos. They also have a video they took but quality is not real good. I've not priced this bike but hear they are way over list. Probably the reason they still have it. Posted for info for you to see the bike up close, not to advertise their bikes!

Gold Rush is the best color this year on the Limited. Has more pop than other colors. Grey and red is a close second.

Gold is the Hot color for 2015. Don't know who's the color designer for Harley Davidson Motorcycles, but they may want to look for a new team. They can do better with the color schemes on a $40,000 bike. I like the Red and Blue on the 2014 bikes. Maybe they should make a black color scheme. Just not impressed with the 2015 colors.

I saw one in the lobby of H-D's headquarters. It is super cool. Far better than the pictures show. Would be my first choice.

Good catch. I saw a 2014 Limited with the badge upside down and my bike came with one chrome and one black plastic tank badge.

I just got my bike back last Sunday, after the SECOND engine rebuild. The first one was at 19,000 miles and this one was at 55,000 miles. The first was under regular warranty and the second under the E.S.P. I have one year left on the ESP. I don't not abuse the bike. I just ride and ride and ride.

Yesterday, a week after getting the bike back, I had a handshake deal on a new NON CVO Limited, with lots of customization. I went home to get a check and arrived back at the dealer a few hours later. The price stayed the same, but they told me I had to give them the bike on the spot rather than in about two weeks when the new one was ready. They offered a free rental. I called off the deal, as I love riding my CVO and was not mentally ready to had it over on the spot.

I still have not found or seen a CVO Gold Rush - back to looking for one.

We have one locally. That is a beautiful bike. Like most CVO's, the paint looks better in the sun. I just didn't like the ride and setup on the new bikes...

Fly down and pick it up. They were dealing with me, at MSRP and good trade values.

Today, I put a $1,000 FULLY REFUNDABLE deposit on a Gold Rush CVO Limited. If I don't like the color, full refund.

A Blue CVO arrives mid month - they will try to trade for a Gold Rush. Back up plan is for their next CVO arrivals in February 2015. (winter up here in the North)

I will let the dealership find it.

Pricing negotiations later will take all my strength to hold the "reasonable" line on both the new bike and the trade in.

The wait begins.

My NEW dealership called. The one with my refundable deposit.

They have a Gold Rush CVO Limited in the back room for me to have first crack on before they put it on the showroom floor.

Great afternoon to pick up the Dirty Blonde and take her for a country ride.

The bike handles with a lighter feel than the 2009 CVO Ultra Classic. A few minor alterations (lower the heal shift, up extension to the mirrors, rotate towards the rider on the highway pegs) are on the agenda. I like the deeper sound of the stock exhaust when compared to my old 2009.

A fun 125 miles yesterday. Fingers crossed for the weather for the balance of the month of October - before shutting it down for the year.
