2007 FLHRSE3 Seat compatability
« on: February 06, 2012, 04:36:01 PM »

Hi to all as this is my first topic here @ CVO Owners Group.

I recently purchased a 2007 CVO Road King which has a stock seat that the stitching is coming loose and was wondering what seats are compatable as a direct replacement.
Either Stock or non stock ,I have been to the Mustang web site and there is no specs for the CVO for 2007 but different seat for the Custom.
Thanks

Dave

The only bikes that specifically have the same dash as yours are the 02, 03 and 07 CVO Road Kings.  Other seats may fit; sort of.  But they'll be wider than the tail of the dash as they cover it or will leave a small gap between the nose of the seat and the tail of the dash.  What you'll accept as good enough will depend on your own tastes.

I was at Sturgis in 2010 and stopped in at the Mustang booth and bought a direct replacement for my 07 FLHRSE3. Sorry can't give you the model number right now as I am away at work. Call Mustang and I am sure they can help you over the phone.

I bought a mustang as well after speaking with one of their techinical reps.  I bought #76033, but mine is a 2008 with the 6gal tank so likely different one is required for a 2007 with the 5 gal tank.  Huge improvement in comfort

I bought my 07 SERK in Aug. 06 on a Sat., Monday i called Mustang to order seat they told me they had never heard of a SERK for 07, walked them thru the H-D website to prove that it was new for 07, Three or four days later they called me back to let me know that they would have to design a new seat pan and since that H-D was only building a limited amount of these bikes that they (Mustang) would not be offering a seat. So, instead i went with the Touring seat and as Twolaner said it left a gap between the nose of seat and back of console, No one ever noticed it unless i showed it to them.

Old thread, I know! ....Anyone have any fresh ideas on what kind of seat options for an 07' FLHRSE3? I just want my butt a half inch or an inch lower for better footing on the ground.

My local Harley shop told me they have a leathersmith (correct term?) who comes by every week and can manipulate the padding in stock seats to accomplish this. Maybe that's the best idea?
