Randy,

Beautiful bike. Couple of questions. What highway pegs did you go with? The HD hand controls for your stereo - can you give us the details. I have a DeadCenter fairing and did not know I could get the HD controls to work with it. Did you have the dealer install? Is that an air horn - what model?

Looks outstanding! Like the black bag and seat combo, gives nice weight to the bike. Beautiful mods! Your garage looks a bit too tidy but I should have guessed by the way you treat your bike.

AD2,

I used the HD 50829-07 long angled adjustable mount with the HD 50935-07 Ironside pegs to match the rest of the bike. I am only 5'9" so I needed the long version mounts that I could reach. They also make a short version just like the one I used as well as a couple different styles that are adjustable. The HD hand controls were something new right when I ordered my fairing from Dragonfly that they came out with. They use the HD switches that splice into a module that Dragonfly supplied with their stereo (Kenwood marine grade KDC-MP438U). The module plugged right into their stereo and is mounted inside the headlight housing. I installed everything myself in about 4-5 hours worth. The hardest part was getting the wires from the module through the handlebars (what a major pain). I made all the splices in the control housings between the module wires and HD switches as per HD instructions that came with the kit & controls. Everything is still detachable with two bolts and one plug in. The horn is actually a Lenale engine cooling fan that blows 200 CFM on the cylinders when I turn it on. Seems to help with a good air flow at slow traffic / parade situations in hot weather. I plugged it directly into the accessory plug that is under the battery box and activated by the supplied accessory switch on the left side of the forks. The stock horn is either remounted with included hardware to the frame or as I did replaced with a very small one mounted under & behind the Lenale fan that I purchased from him for this purpose. The small one is not all that loud but adequate in sound and was the cleanest look I thought. Hope this helps.

I LOVE how those bikes look with a red fairing.  FANTASTIC.  The painted frame really sets them apart.  Too bad the Red SEUC2 doesn't have a red frame.  Great job!

Randy, thanks. I went with the DeadCenter fairing and have been wondering how/if I could get hand controls for the sound system. I'll email them to see if they're doing anything to match Dragonfly. I'm right at 6', so I may go with the shorter peg extensions. I like your engine fan, but I'm really pleased with the Mini Beast air horn, so I may have to pass on the fan. I appreciate your reply.

RLB, With all the talk on another thread about high speed wobble which seems to be only the SEUC when you added the faring has that caused your bike to wobble?

I had been thinging about doing the faring and hard bags but just think its to much red, but the way you have yours now really looks good, Like someone said it gives it good balance so now u'm back on go with just the faring, just need to find one that does not have the holes for stereo and speakers.

Again, The bike looks great, SERK"S RULE

You can order a "Deadcenter" fairing with the backplane blank, no holes..I had no wobble problems but rarely rode exteneded distances over 100+ mph but did not notice any with short bursts.  I liked that it was lockable onto the RK mounts and easily removed.  Good luck

SERK3, no question - it's a lot of red, but you have to agree - it does stand out on rides with mostly black bikes. I haven't taken my fairing off since I got it, have ridden many miles at various speeds and felt no wobble. Looking at the space above the radio you would think it is ideal for a glovebox, but inside the fairing stacked on top of the radio is the satellite unit and stacked on top of that is the garage door transmitter, so I don't know that they could have done anything with that space. MIKER's looked good with a windshield bag sitting in that space, but I'm not ready to drill holes in the inner shell just yet.
