07 Black SERK has arrived
« on: September 21, 2006, 06:09:11 PM »

Well the delay on my 07 SERK was worth the wait.  It was originally scheduled to arrive in August and was delivered today.  The pictures are in the pictures folder under

That is one sweet looking ride you have there.  Tell me, was black your color choice all along.  I have a deposit down for the Red SERK due to come in November.  I love the Red but it is the only one I have seen in person.  Your pics are the first I have found that show the Black so now I am having doubts about the color.  My dealer has a Black SERK due in around 1st week of October but has already been sold.  He promised to let me know when he gets it so I can get a good look at it.  I can shift my deposit to the Black if want but it will then be Jan. 2007 before he will be able to get it.  Not sure I can wait that long but we will see.

Again, great looking bike and thanks for the pics.  I know a lot of us have been wanting to see this color for a while.  Ride Safe.

IMO,, When I saw the blue and red in early pics last summer I felt the black bags looked out of place.  The red by far is the most flashy paint job and will draw a crowd.  I ordered the black only because everything went together and the 2007 SERK had a black motor for a change.

I am glad I did it.  Thanks

A buddy of mine is going with Rineharts on his...I did a little research on it for him and I was told by Rinehart that their true duals will be out in mid-November for the '07 models.

Nice color - that was my first choice (traded a 01 SE Road Glide, three tone blue), but my wife liked the cobalt blue better, so were both happy.

e4...I was going to put slip on's on mine but then I heard with the already lean conditions on these bikes the slip ons only made it worse, which would mean a SERT program as well.

To take full advantage of that 110 I'm going to wait for a set of true duals to come out.  Either Rineharts or Hardkrome.  Leaning towards the RH's though.  Also waiting for PCIII to come out for the bike.

Best of luck.  I love my SERK.

I have a blue one for almost three weeks.  I had a deposit on a black one but got caught up in the delay at the end of August.  I found a dealer with a blue one (I had never seen any color in person) and fell in love with it and the rest is history.
I put 800 miles on it and put a set of two year old SE slip ons.  Sound really good, but not as good as the V&H sound I'm used to.  I have been told that the ESM can handle a set of slip ons because of the O2 sensors.  My dealer sold the black one that eventually arrived and the owner put V&H oval slip ons, race tuner ,and the added a SE air filter, which is already on the bike.
I'm going to ride it and check the plugs for indications of lean.
I do miss the passing lights, also installed on the black one by the dealer.   [smiley=jalapeno.gif]

mine is due the end of october, black ice.  im having halogen driving lights with bright optics, chrome switch caps and head bolt covers added.  so far noone has sold me on exhaust.  its appearing to be a pricey venture due to hd changes at this point, even the muffler idea makes me feel as though i am settling for less.  does anyone get the same feeling?  chaz

I installed the Passing and turn signals that are on the CVO Ultras. The wife did not like the turn signal on the handlebars. Really makes the bike look complete. Also added blue led's.

I have a set of 05 SEEG passing lights with brackets and turn signals.  I went
to mount them and the bolts that came with the bike are too short,
especially on the top.  The light mounting brackets have a built in spacer on the
inner top.

1.  Did you get longer bolts and use a spacer on the inner bottom of the
brackets?

2.  Did you remove the turn signals on the handlebars and if so, what did
you do with the wires?

3.  Do you have a picture?

Thanks,
