Title: 2012 cvo motor went and ended up with a 2015 cvo limited wow what a day
Post by: planenut on August 31, 2015, 12:57:27 AM
  hi all
so here is the reader digest version .... :o  i had a 12cuse7 with 13k on it..Well it started making noise and found the lifters were the problem ,so i proceed to remove them and found the lifter bore was scored and the cam lobs were rusted and pitting . Well after talking to my dealer i took the bike up there for them to look at,well after pulling the cam chest they found damage   :o  so esp told them to pull the engine and they took it apart and found crank damage from a bearing that cam apart   ....esp covered everything
So after talking to the dealer about ordering a new engine i was set to get the 12 cuse7 blue back on the road...or i thought

so after saying hi to everyone at the dealer they had 2 cvo 15 limited left over on the floor .I had asked them if they were getting any of the 16 cvo limited in blue and silver .They said i needed a new scooter.I said NO I'm good  lolrof
well they pulled the palladium sliver and maroon out side so i can see it in the sunlight..I said nice bike but I'm not buying anything as i had just gone through a divorce and was not in the market..(they are my preferred dealer and hey new what was going on  great guys).well all i new is i was ridding it as i have not ridden the 14 and up. all i can say is wow what a difference from my 12..  wellwhat i diddent know the owners and the sales guy Jimmy (known for many years) already worked #s out in the bike i was riding and my old one that was riding as a trade in..
I love the silver but never had a red anything  ,never been a red fan as a color  (blue or silver r both combo on a bike)
well all i can say is i am a new owner of a 15 cvo limited of a silver and maroon bike and what a very beautiful color and got they gave me $thousands off and great trade in value of my old one (loved the color combo of the 12 but its been a headache with many gremlins)

So I am now on my 3rd cvo and i really love these bikes and hope this one will be as good as my first cvo.
Once a cvo always a cvo  ....I had a very expensive day  lol

I GOT A NEW MOTOR IT AND IT CAME WITH A NEW BIKE    LOL :orange: :orange: :orange: :bananarock: :bananarock: :bananarock: :bananarock: :bananarock:
So anyway thanks for listening on how i got a new limited and its mine
    Jon

That is great ! It's funny how things happen like that. I have a similar story myself. My SESG has had nothing but problems, so I put money down on a 16 SERG. Not knowing when it's even arriving. For kicks the dealer showed me a 2015 CVO Limited in Carbon Dust/Charcoal Slate. I told my wife about it and she had a look with me. To shorten the story, we are picking it up on Thursday after a short 5 day vacation. Sad to see the SG go but it's been nothing but problems. Here's to getting a good one this time around.

I've attached a picture I took at the dealership after it was PDI'd.

Congrats on a Beautiful Ultra Limited.  I was just looking a carbon dust/charcoal slate at a dealership today, and as usual the pics just don't do justice to these bikes when you get right up on it.

I was surprised, that the handling would be that much better between the 2012 & the 2015, but must be the new forks?  Enjoy, it's always a good time with a new CVO.

I also traded a 12 for a 15 it's like night and day. Don't knock them till you ride them.
