Title: 2014 CVO HitchDoc Trailer Hitch Installed (w/pics)
Post by: redspy on October 11, 2014, 10:04:53 PM
Just completed the install of the Chrome HitchDoc Model H15225. This is a great looking one piece all Chrome! hitch. Installation was straight forward. I did cut off the extra bolt length on the fender bracket as it seemed to hinder the hitch going up into the fender. But after I took off the bolts on the strut cover to get the saddle bag bract bolts to assign, I'm not sure the bolt needed to be cutoff. Total price including shipping was around 425.00. This seemed to be competitive with Bushtec that is not one piece and not chrome. Not sure but I also believe one of the most hidden hitches I have seen. (Just my opinion).

Here are some pictures and you can judge for yourself.

With saddlebags. What you see from the level is the chain bracket. This bracket also has holes if yoy want to mount a small mud flap.

With Ball. What you see is the chain bracket that you can install or leave off. I did replace the bolts for this with stainless steel hardware. I also replace the bolt for the saddle bag bracket with stainless steel as it did come with a nice chrome acorn nut.

That is a very clean installation. I have been thinking about doing the trailer thing if the wife starts packing too much stuff on trips. Where did you purchase it and what was the cost if you don't mind my asking?
