14 limited windshield
« on: December 09, 2014, 12:00:53 PM »

So as we all search for the perfect feel behind the fairing,   I believe I have found a windshield for my needs.    Long range shields had 50 % off Black Friday.  I bought two different ones, one with script the other no script.  Always wonder how it would look.    I put the script one on last night and rode into work this am. ( hou tx)   I do like this shield. It was a very calm ride even at 90. My preferred is about 70 and It was good.

Did it break the wind better for you? I tend to get some buffering and when it rains the water likes to really come up on me (seems to drop down and then blow up in my face).  My old Ultra had a taller windshield and I didn't have either of these symptoms.

Is this the Ultra Shield?  They have several models. It looks like the sale is still on but they have run out of the light tint.

How tall of a shield did you purchase?  I've been complaining about buffeting since the first ride.  I came off a 10 limited and before that an 07 ultra.  Never had a buffeting  issue.  After a 1000 miles, I've adjusted and it doesn't seem as bad.  But I would like to give something else a try.  I just don't want 5 windshields in the garage.

10" on this one.   Anything higher i get line interference with my sun / face shield on my bell helmet.    Also looking for new full face helmet.

The stock shield seems to have fit me pretty well so far.  Maybe an upgrade that I will look at this summer.
