Jorge's problem is the speaker wire connections on the SESG2 use a sealed connector at the speakers instead of the typical female spade connectors to attach the speaker wires to the speakers.

Jorge, I'm not a tech or audio guy.  The wiring diagram for your audio system are in this thread; just scroll down to find the SESG2:

http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=53364.0

The wiring diagrams will identify the + and - wires for each fairing speaker.  How you deal with the connectors on the speaker wires is up to you.  You can cut them off and attach insulated spade terminals, or use jumper wires tapped into the speaker wires (preserving the OEM connectors by using Posi-Taps, 3M crimp taps, etc.) with insulated spade terminals attached to the jumper wires for connecting to the speakers, to name a couple of alternatives.

Like I mentioned, I'm not a tech or audio guy.  You will be replacing the 1 ohm impedance fairing speakers with J&M's which are 2 ohm impedance.  This higher impedance will lower slightly (?) the volume you hear compared to the OEM 1 ohm speakers.  Whether it will be an issue for you, I don't know since I have no personal experience with this modification, and the reduction in sound is an electrical consequence of replacing a speaker with one of slightly higher impedance.

I waited to reply to your post hoping someone with far more knowledge/experience would offer you a better and more complete answer.  Hopefully, someone will.

Won't it be an issue putting 2 ohm J&M speakers into an '11 SESG2 since the factory speakers are 1 ohm?

Where is the info coming from that they are 1ohm speakers. Has anybody confirmed that?

I measured my speakers and got a reading of 1.3ohms (DC resistance) so I am betting they are 2ohm nominal speakers. The amp in the SESG2 is spec'd at 100w/ch with .5ohm total load (info from manufacturer). Given that 3 speakers are connected in parallel to each channel, if each speaker is 2ohm nominal it will create a total load of .5ohm.

I've seen the fairing speakers on an O/B SESG2 and they are marked as "1 ohm."

Just went and checked mine ... you are correct ... they are marked as 1ohm.
Doesn't make much sense to me but then the more I explore the SESG2 electrically the more frustrated I become.

Well. Just paid the big bucks for a new amp and now noticed that my two faring speakers are torn. The OEM 5.25 speakers are discontinued. #77033-11. They are 1 ohm.

So if I was to buy new 5.25 speakers that are 2 ohms will they work?  Did not get a clear answer from this old post.

Is there something else that someone has done without replacing the whole system. I had the HK deck also repaired by Iron Cross so I do not want to replace everything.

When I had my 2011 SESG I replaced all 4 speakers (upper and lower fairing speakers) with 6.5 Hertz coax from Biketronics and they worked great, plus have a lifetime warranty!
