Question on touring luggage
« on: April 05, 2008, 08:48:49 PM »

Greetings all....I have a 2007 CUSE2 and am exploring my options for touring luggage that will attach to the rack on top of my leather tour pak.  Wondering if anyone has found a good cost effective solution they can recommend?  I like the looks of the Tbag Dakota, and found it at J&P for $199.  Thank you in advance for your help!

If I had it to do over again I'd get something w/ wheels and a handle on it. Using a Kuryakin (sp) bag and it's fine but the wheel thing will be next.

Take a look here - Tour Pack luggage. I believe this is the latest one that TCnBham had purchased and gave good reviews of it.

Road Ready are the best people to work with, I purcahsed a T-Bag about 7 years ago. This year she gave a new BAG exchanged for $50.00. The quality is great!

I purchased a Rack Half SAC for my '06 SEUC.  They make one to fit the contoured rack on our bikes.  Fits great.  It is 12x17x11 which is just a tad smaller than the Road Ready.  Here's the link.

I would really like one larger but don't know if there is one available to fit our racks.

I've got a Road Ready bag for the smaller rack on the SEUC2 and it fits wonderfully and holds surprisingly lot.  The clasps aren't as robust as others.  The integrated strap provides a nice carrying handle.  I've even used it for weekend travel when NOT on the bike.  When I called to place my owner the man who sews them answered the phone to take my order.  He said not to worry about a thing, they have a lifetime warranty.  That's a good thing.  The zipper seems a little week but I'm careful with it.

II bought this thing back when I had the 02 Ultra:  http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/gma_product.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524441844395&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302286945&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=2534374302286945&bmUID=1211285063933&bmLocale=en_US

Fits the TP rack on the 06, but requires three bungies to make it secure.  Easily fits everything we need.

Try this. Just about every available bag that fits the rack is discussed here. I got the TBag Roller Dekker. ;)

Got the large Road Ready bag for the premium tour pack rack.Very good product.Like the fact that it unzips on 3 sides & opens like a suitcase not like a duffel bag.
