That is a nice looking jacket. Wonder if you took the pictures to a dealer someone might recognize it and be able supply the P/N. Anybody got any old motorclothes catalogs laying around?

A buddy of mine has the XL but so far will not part with it.  He bought his new in 1995 so that is the basis for the previous info.
I asked him to look at the tags and around the coat but nothing stands out to identify it and he does not remember what HD called it.
I was hoping someone here has one.

There should be a Harley part # on the tag if it is still visible. It should start with either an 8 or 9, be five digits with a -95V (maybe even a -96v) at the end. XXXXX-95V It may end in another younger year but I doubt it. It was probably a single year run. The "V" may have a "M" for men's after it.

How do you know that stuff?  I rely on internet but your answer is obviously based on experience.  :nixweiss:

Nice old jacket.  If I could find one in XL, it would be even better.

Yes, H-D gives their motorclothes Part Numbers HOWEVER, most motorclothes are only in production for one year and a search of the P/N on the label generally brings up an "obsolete" response on the various H-D websites that you can plug P/N's into (Chicago H-D being the one a lot of us use) The jacket looks to me like it was made for a specific model. As a matter of fact at first I thought it was a Fatboy Jacket, but the emblem on the back has wings vice the Army Air Corps logo of the Fatboy. So what other model could it be named for ? It reminds me of something, but I can't place it. What year was the Road King introduced in ? Could it have been a Road King jacket ? If it really is that much of an issue for you, see if you find the e-mail address of the Harley-Davidson Archives and send them the pictures. I am sure they'd answer your question.

Well, if you find 2 of those in XL...I'll take one.  Nice coat, but no idea beyond that.
