YUP, it doesn't look like they offer a pure dinosaur oil anymore.. Looks like Hoist has gotta look for another brand.  :nervous: :nervous:

HeHe!!! I mostly use Motor Factory DINO oil anyway. I still have a couple of cases of HD DINO in the garage. Between the 5 bikes, it won't last much longer! FTF!!! ;)

If you look at the regular on-line catalog, under Security and Maintenance, you will still find Harley 360 oil.  I'm pretty certain they kept it strictly due to the opinions expressed by Hoist. ::)

It's rather strange, but when you look at that regular catalog they also only show the "new" full synthetic SYN3, and don't show the old "blend" at all.  It's only when you look in the SE catalog that you find both versions.  I wonder if this is another case of the left hand not talking to the right hand, or if perhaps they got stuck with a boat load of the blend and figure it will be easier to unload it from the SE catalog side.  You know, there are probably some folks still out there who will buy anything if it's SE.

I would bet the blend and the Syn are very close to the same.
I will find out in a few weeks.

It looks to me like the new is the blend and the original is the Syn3.

nope, besides,  confusion is merely a state of mind. it's how you pull it off that matters.

Regardless of the certifications, I use only Amsoil tranny & crankcase oils in my bike. Been using them since new, and have been happy.
My dealer carries the Amsoil products and offers them to their customers when they come in for an oil change if they ask for synthetic.

I buy it by the case so it's less than $30 for the three.

Inquired HD Customer service about the Harley new Synthetic blend.
Syn3 has not changed it the same as it has been.
The Syn blend is an 80% Dino oil 20% synthetic with a better additive pack to deal with heat.
As for the difference between the two only a virgin oil analysis will give me that answer.
Since I have no plans on using it, I don’t know if I will bother spending the money to do so.
But curiosity may get the best of me.:rolleyes4:
