No Pics -- No Story -- Just a Fine Indian Summer Day
« on: October 08, 2011, 07:44:17 PM »

In the 80s and sunny.  Headed out this morning down to Mena, AR and rode the Talimena Trail along the top of the Ouachita then wandered on to Tulsa for lunch at the diner that's part of Route 66 Harley.  Inspried by the restaurant choice took the old road back north through OK and in to KS until finally had to turn east and home.  About a four tank day.  All exceptional.

Washed up a bit now.  Time to ride to dinner.

That works for me.  Have measured my days by tanks full for long time.  It's a comforting measure and keeps me from wimping out end of a day and leaving fuel in the tank before stopping.

Breakdowns suck.   Can't always find a good slope when you need it.

For the rest of the story was a friend of mine that traveled with us he hauled his down (health reasons) that I have known for years so was a very controlled event. Necessity is the the driver behind a lot of things we do. Did you ever try to push one of those big ole harley dressers uphill both ways even with 2 - 3 fat boys is pretty tough.  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
