I recently purchased a Fxdwg2, and need a windshield.  I see a number of people mentioned having them.  But I missed the details on models and make.

You can get either of the HD quick release models or the permanent mount that fit the 2001 Wide Glide. You can also get the HD Sport shield. The trick is you have to cut the plexi to fit around the sport fairing if you don't want to remove it.

The way i did it was to remove the fairing, lay the large end on a piece of paper and trace the outline. Put some wide masking tape on both sides of the lower edge of the plexi to avoid scratching thw plexi. Lay that outline you traced on the plexi and trace a line on the tape. With a coping saw, cut just a bit more than the line from the windshield to give a bit of extra room. Smooth the edges with some sanding. I put some door edge molding on mine to spiff it up a bit.
