Are the standard lifters that bad?
« on: March 24, 2022, 04:37:04 PM »

Im getting parts ready for a Stage 2 upgrade (CR480)for my yet to arrive CVO RG, there seems to be so much conjecture about the lifters. So my question is why should I replace them, as I have read thattheir bleed down rate is actually pretty good, or is this just a pile of poop?

By all means yes replace the lifters. Even the stock valve springs have a relatively high combined spring rate and that with a now performance cam lobe dictates a stronger lifter. I sell Morels and they work fine with a slower bleed rate and higher capacity to handle the spring rate and lobe intensity.
