Fuel Filler Door Problem???
« on: February 12, 2009, 10:52:21 PM »

Rode my silver '09 SERG (pictures to come later in a separate thread) home today.

The wife comes out to take a look, goes over and opens the fuel filler door. When she tried to close it, no dice.

I fiddled with it for a couple of minutes and finally managed to close it by putting a lot of down pressure on it... more than seemed reasonable.

I called the dealer and spoke to the service manager. He said it shouldn't be that hard to close. They're gonna take a look at it when it's back in for parts that are on order (CB Radio, Intercom, yada, yada).

Has anyone else had this problem?

Mines fussy also.  I have to push the button down as i close the door. That usually gets it latched.  Have no idea why.

Congrats on the new bike.  They are just fantastic.

Have to push a little harder than usual, but not bad. Think you may need adjustment.

I haven't noticed issues with the fuel filler door closing on my SERG.

Its not something you can just flip and go. whens it latches, you know it. mine was a bit tight at first but it worked itself out, . wow, say that in the wrong company

Okay, so I'm not alone in this. Thanks for the feedback guys. I'll have the dealer check it when it's in for the audio installs in a week or two.
