Why don't my mirrors hit my windshield?
« on: May 04, 2009, 08:14:59 AM »

I took my Clearview tall windshield of my 08' RG and put it on my SERG yesterday. When I had that shield on my 08' I could not turn the bars lock to lock because the mirrors would hit the windshield. This was a common problem which I think they may have fixed now but not sure. On my new bike there is about 2 inches to spare when turning the bars to the full lock position. Does anyone know why this is? I am curious because the bars look the same. Also I noticed I don't see over the windshield anymore. I used to look over about 2 or 3 inches on the 08" now I look right at the edge. T.

Bars on the SERG have more pull back than the regular RG.  Also the SERG seat is lower than the Stock RG seat.

I heard that the bars were a little different but I wonder why my shoulders are aching so bad after such a short ride. Man I was spoiled after my 08'. That thing fit me perfect right out of the box. I assumed this would too. I will make it suited for sure. T.

I know they also changed the rake of the front end. Don't know if that would make a difference or not. Now you can lock it!

+1 on the locking. I never fork locked my other bike because of the mirrors hitting. T.
