Lowering the seat height with shocks
« on: May 24, 2010, 09:14:23 AM »

I know if you put 1" shorter shocks on a SERG it will lower the back of the bike 1''.  (no Brainer) But as you move up towards to front the effects slowly change. At the seat, does anyone now how much lower it will sit?

Actually, due to the angle of the rear shocks from vertical, a 1" lower shock will lower the bike at the rear axle approximately 9/16".  Since the height of the front axel is not changed and assuming nothing else changes, you move higher as you reach the front axle.  Sorry, I don't have the exact formula but it can be measured.   :nixweiss:
