triple tree rake
« on: June 20, 2006, 07:05:29 PM »

Hi, new to the site. heard from cvo rider that this is the place to ask the questions no one else can answer.

To get more rake on my 2004 wide glide (sorry, not a cvo), i've been told of the horrors of changing the trail on the front end of my bike if i mess with the triple tree rake. Can i get another 6 degrees rake by "safely" changing the trees to obtain it? [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Thanks for the help in advance.

6 degrees is difficult to get.  I've never seen a 6 triple only a 3.  You can certainly do it, but it will definitely change the way she rides.  Why rake out a wide glide more than it is??  Swap the frame and really get it out there. JM.02$  If you could find a set of lowered shocks, you could get close to how she'd handle just by dropping the rear some.  Effectively that would rake it more and increase the trail.
