A CVO Ultra? How do you know what colors they are making or if you will like them? Does your money down just give you first pick and I hope it is refundable if the bikes don't suit you.

The SEUC's are cash cows for the MOCO, so I'd bet my next paycheck that they will have yet another year.  They've been doing them every year since '06, and selling them all, so why not.

It's been done many times over.  I remember back in the day when you might have to put a deposit down a year in advance.

I put down a deposit on my 04 SEEG.  Didn't know what they were going to have for 04 MY but I had first right of refusal.  The same for the 2010.....I was first on the list and Jon (Jonga) was second.  We both ended up getting our bikes at other dealerships and we got our refunds.

Some members here have put down a deposit at two or three dealerships in order to get their's soonest.

How much is a customary or usual deposit?

Even at $500 and no deal on a bike I could use that credit balance in a year no problem. Heck the wifey buys that much in shirts. :'(

Depends on the dealer...some $500, some $1,000, from my experience.  I put $500 on my '06 in March, and it didn't come in until the very end of May.

If I was committed to  buying a new bike that would  not be a problem. My luck would be the dealer down the road would get the bike first and for less. :D

It depends on the dealership.......some want $1k, others only want $500.  It has to be refundable if they can't produce a VIN number at the time you leave a deposit.  Not sure if that's nation wide or just Calif.

**EDIT**  Looks like Terry beat me to it.

By the way, that's why some people leave deposits at two or three dealerships.....first one that gets it in gets the sale and they go get their deposit from the other dealerships. :2vrolijk_21:

Wow what a great way to torture a dealer. Here you can hold and smell my money for a while but if your not on the ball I'll come back and get it and give to the competitor. :orange: It would sting even more if you just had them send the money directly to the other dealer. :huepfenlol2:
