1984 FXRDG
« on: July 10, 2013, 01:47:27 AM »

Has anyone ever come across a fxr that had 4 stars stamped on the engine case's as well as the engine number. And they are factory stamped.
I have done a lot of research about a FXRDG I have, and it seem's that out of the 853 that were built 40 units were pulled aside for different reason or different people.I do no I have 1 of those 40 that were put aside. The 1 I have was first owned by Harley Davidson Milwaukee them self's.

Might want to hold on to that one.........it's probably worth about the same as any other '84. Depending on condition of course.

EVO's with pin stamped numbers will have a star at the start and another at the end of the vin.  Those stars have no meaning other than showing the start and stop of the vin.    Your 84 would have come with a die stamped vin and no stars.  The stars would indicate a rebuild and that the motor has over or under sized innards, replacement case, etc.
