Best High Output 5 3/4" Headlight
« on: January 19, 2013, 12:33:49 AM »

Hi Guys,
What is the best trouble free 5 3/4" headlight? Harley LED vs HID vs H4? I know there are different patterns but is it the from the bulb or the lense. different bulbs have more or less light intensity and color. Would a Bluish tint be safer during the day time? I guess pulse circuits are good for day . Can they switched off at night? I guess the H4 would be the only way to go with the pulsar. Input anybody?
Thanks,

I see you didn't get any responses, but did you ever change the headlight out?

Nothing. I ended up getting a few Sylvania Silverstar Ultra bulbs. Very bright. Have a 1 year from purchase warranty but last half that . Have not tried to claim it shipping is 1/2 price of bulb. Will try something. Else later . Other bulbs are very expensive and don't last long either.
Thanks

I've bought hi po lights from Dan Stern lighting for my Road Glide, which I liked.  I am on set #2 for the RG as well.

I see this thread is over a year old, but what about the new Harley DayMaker LEDs, are they any good? I have upgraded my BMWs to 55 watt H7 HIDs and they're bright. Any HID options with headlight like ours, or is the DayMaker the bees knees?

I have the DayMaker on my 1980 Sturgis and really like it. It can be seen way down the road.
