NEW 2007 Model
« on: March 18, 2006, 07:55:59 PM »

NEWS FLASH:

I heard today from a very reliable source that the MOCO will be introducing a new model in 2007 called "Dice". Not sure if that name will stick or if its just the current code name for the bike.

It is a new member for the softtail family and will have a 240 rear tire. Looks like it may be an addition to the CVO line up as well as it is chromed out to the max. I trying to find out about the power train information.

Will update again as soon as I know more...........

I want a CVO Screamin Eagle Road Glide with a 180 rear tire, brembos all around, 6 speed trans and a 113 push rod air cooled 45 degree V-Twin motor, Hard shell King tour-pak, Ultra Classic electronics  some real cool Chrome Mags ,a seat you can actually ride more than 200 miles on, a factory version of the true-track, an automatic primary chain adjuster, a black and chrome motor and trans and lastly paint schemes which include the Screamin Eagle logo like the 00 and 01 SERGs and the 06 SEVRODs. And I don't want to see the any of the CVO parts available next year in the P&A catalogue spawning a legion of bastard SERGs. Is that too much to ask for the price they charge us?

Come on Willie G one more time while you still can !

One more time before the EPA turns the MoCo into a Victory chaser or worse still a STAR imitator .

I've been holding out a bit and maybe someone else knows this or has posted.  MoCo applied for EPA Cert on two new water cooled engines off the V Rod.  Good authority has it that one of the two may be destined for a Touring model.

If anyone is really good at cruising the EPA website I am told you can find it.

Yeap, that doc is a bureaucratic and not a manufacturing exercise.  Was done to test an administrative system, not a motor.  First showed up quite some time ago.  Has had its intent misquoted so much in different venues it will raise to the status of an urban myth someday soon.

A friend of mine knows a guy (I can't remember his name) that works with Willie G. in the softtail development program. He has been pushing Willie G. to put a V-Rod motor in a touring model for a limited production to see how sales would be. I was told Willie G. wasn't too keen on the idea, but the guy is pretty persistant. So who knows...maybe it will be a reality.

Trust me Mike. We've relayed the message. But who knows how far it went. Hopefully the MoFoCo will make it all good sooner than later.

Sounds like you want the MoCo to do it all from you straight from the factory? [smiley=confused5.gif] Now you know that is not the reason the P&A catalog is over 500 pages. They will give you just enough so you can make a mega-dollar wish list and buy, buy, buy. :o

BigDaddy,
And to top it off the mark-up is over 200% :( On top of that, we get excited when dealer has a sale and marks stuff down 20, 30, 40, 50%. [smiley=confused5.gif] I would hate to admit the times that I have run to dealers as fast as my feet/bike would carry me just to purchase something because they were having a sale. :-[

But we all have found out what H-D stands for..... "Hundred Dollars" [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

But don't you feel good and walk out of the dealership with a  :) on your face after donating H.D. another Hundred Dollars.
Our most recent donation was the new Screamin Eagle leather jackets they just came out with. We had to buy one for her and one for me. They wouldn't give us two of their travel blankets (free w/purchase of $250.00 or more). So I said screw it, ring both coats up seperately. She said MoCo wouldn't allow two free blankets for one purchase. Gimme a break, we're about to dump over 800 bucks...so we made two seperate purchases about a minute apart so we could get the two blankets. Like the MoCo is really hurting for cash! I really do feel sorry for them, I just don't know how they can stay in business at times.

Wonder if that sales clerk would have found a way for it to work if you first suggested that you would buy one jacket from her store, and get the other from a competitors store? I bet she would have figured out some way to get you both of the blankets if she thought her store was going to loose a $400+ sale. On second thought maybe it wouldn't have affected her at all, some dealers/employees of dealerships have the

It's not leather but I do admit it looks really good on her. She came home and put the cvo pin on it and started asking if the new patch was going to match. I guess we're going to have to start coordinating all of this stuff or our "better halves" are going to step in and take it over.
We all know that we can't afford to upset them!

But she's happy as could be that she'll be styl'n in Cripple Creek.

OK... the funny thing is that I went last weekend to spend just $50. I knew exactly what I wanted. After momma got done in motorclothes we had spent over $300 and walked away with the HD blanket that they are promoing if you spend over $250. Maybe I can make momma a convert??

Hey, I got the "Free Blanket" that they were promoting too. What on earth is it good for ? Are the big grommets on it for any particular reason ? Just curious.

I think it would be good for outdoor sporting events & camping... Rolls up small enough to put in saddle bag...You could use the grommets w/ rope or bungy cord and fasten it on bike for a cover, it's water resistant...I can't see what other use the grommets would be good for besides hanging it up. It didn't affect our purchase, if the MoCo is gonna give something away, might as well take it. We're gonna stash ours away in the toy hauler and use when needed.

Jay, that is too funny!! The sales clerk was telling Nikki that someone else had just bought one. Should of known it was you!

It was obvious to me that the grommets on the blanket are the perfect size to fit over your grips.

I see you found what I was talking about (lets see if SEULTRA finds it). Not to worry I still got your back, and would justify you and me buying chrome that others think insignificant. Thought I'd give SEULTRA an opportunity to harass me a bit. :D Figured if he vented on me some, he wouldn't harass you so bad.

You go girl or in this case "Vgirl"! [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

/me wonders where women like this were when he was looking for wife? [smiley=confused5.gif]

Don't get me wrong I'm happy with what I got, but she doesn't have the passion for riding like I do, she doesn't like to wrench, [highlight]would never think it was "normal" to spend hundreds of dollars for a piece of chrome that can't be seen [/highlight](this is your chance SEULTRA that statement was for you), and to top it all of she can take chit, and dish it out with all the fellows in the "virtual" garage.

/me gives Vgirl her "props" [smiley=bigok.gif]

"Normal" huh??? Brother, I don't think any of us here is normal (and I don't wanna be either). Hundreds of dollars for chrome you can't see?  Some of the finest (otherwise lucid) people I know do that. Makes me laugh everytime I think about it though.  [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]
I suppose now I'll have to bring my gutter crawlin' gear to CC to admire your "stealth chrome" OR just quaff down countless Black Russians and wind up in the gutter as usual anyway. Either way, I look forward to seeing many of the gang at CC.  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Dood, you can't play both sides like that! Thats cruel. I think I have an ally and then you do that? It's okay though, I can be cruel too. The blanket grommets don't really fit over the grips, [highlight]I was just seeing how many would go try[/highlight].

[highlight]..... PS no matter what you may think about expensive shoes, I'll wager that if you need some work done on your scoot, go out and buy a pair of knee high boots with 5" heels and put em on over some tight booty jeans and

YOU DON"T NEED NO TOOLS GIRL ! ;)
[smiley=ROFLOL.gif] [smiley=ROFLOL.gif]
Spiderman,
Funny you should mention this, when I saw "Vgirl's" comment about the shoes first thing that ran through my mind was a pair of stiletto boots that she could ride the bike with. Of course she would have some "fitted" jeans on to accentuate her curves, along with some chaps. ;)

Don't get Big B or me wrong here we are not male chauvinists we just enjoy beautiful things. Heck if I could get my wife to ride her owns (scooter) it would be great to see her in some "fitted" jeans and chaps.

/me would follow her around on her scooter like a little lost puppy dog. :D

I guess to some it would seem that we were abnormal, but to all of us we seem normal with some of us having just a slightly different aspect/taste on some of our enhancements for our bikes.

As for the getting in the gutter to see our "stealth" chrome, don't worry about that. [highlight]We know, you know it's there, like we know we got it, so we are satisfied (did that make sense [smiley=confused5.gif]).[/highlight]

'hard on the knees'.......my knees are shot too......too much 'low-crawlin'  [smiley=army.gif]and kickin' that knuckle.  [smiley=biker.gif] Among other things, but my biggest knee problem riding now that I got that magic push button, is my knees 'locking' in place if I don't re-position them from footboard to hwy. pegs pretty often.  Do yours do that or is it just me?  aaaarrrgh.  [smiley=pirate.gif] spyder

Oh yeah  they do, if I get in that highway groove where my face becomes the headlight and my heart the motor etc etc  I get to where I have to lift my leg up off the highway peg with my hand and set it down on the footboard  :P
