Sadly Dad's ride ended yesterday...he went peacefully in his sleep.

I still have not received the bike from ID Transport - and am getting rather anxious, it was due last week before I left for vacation - but he had a driver quit.    Joe has informed me it will be delivered when I get home next week.

I had hoped to let dad know I had it safely in my possession before he passed.

Had some Gentleman Jack in his honor last night, and will do so each night this week.

To the Gunny!

Sean

Sean, my condolences:

To the Gunny;   Sláinte!
An old Irish Belssing to you and yours;

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there... I do not sleep.
I am the thousand winds that blow...
I am the diamond glints on snow...
I am the sunlight on ripened grain...
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you waken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of gentle birds in circling flight...
I am the soft star that shines at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry—
I am not there... I did not die...

Buddy, I am sorry about your loss.  Still reeling in our home for losses many years ago.  It does get better, but it is like eating the elephant, small bites.  Thank you for your service.  Without folks like you, all that we have would be lost.  My husband has just retired from the Army.  Welcome to this great CVO Harley web site.  It is a great place, built by a very kind and wonderful man who donates his time and server space to allow us to get to know each other.  It is shared by folks of all creeds, colors, income brackets, experiences and beliefs.  The underlying commonality for us is our love for our bikes, especially these CVO Harley bikes.  You have inherited a treasure that I bet every time you straddle, you will get to share rides with your father.  Again, sorry for your loss.

Sean,

So sad to hear about your Dad's passing. Just remember that he will always ride with you.
