Post by: SEUC-OCD on January 11, 2006, 04:12:59 PM
103Thunder's Birth of a CVO

Not only was it a blessed event, but the light and sunbursts make the bike even look blessed.

Spyder,
From your signature ("2004 FLHTCSE Colbalt 'SpyderPsychle' .....35K+mi. & 1994 FLSTN Special 'SpyderMobile'....98K+mi.") it would show that you are one of the "Back East Boys" that doesn't use a trailer. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] When I got rid of my Fatboy and bought my [smiley=pumpkin.gif] I sold the trailer, because I thought I had bought a "touring" bike. [smiley=nixweiss.gif] [highlight]Was I wrong in assuming this?[/highlight] [smiley=pumpkin.gif]

They were put together by Alligator Bob , very close friend of the family (chosen brothers) iIf you check out his site you can see more of them and this picture set. I will have more to show if interested later in time. I have changed the bike somewhat and added a couple of things / fairing and such

I was sold immediatley!! Great job Ken ;).  Bob does all of Paul Sr. seats from O.C.C. Alligator Bobs is quite the place :o  Absolutely awesome!!!

WOW, Marky like dat!! Tailup, do you have website or contact information? Black gator for my banana might just be eye-popping. Plus I have the SED that matches your SERK that might need a new fancy gator seat.

Answer to Bigdaddy---I would go direct to Bob and ask him , I dont know all of the pricing and he can explain better , I will be putting some things together at a later date for all to see, as far as costs and packages, but everything is custom so its hard to quote you pricing. If I can help with anything else though feel free to ask, Ken

I wanted to tell you alittle about the seat and bags on the bike, They were made by Alligator Bob, you can type in www. alligatorbob.com and reach his site. He poured the pan and custom fit me to the seat which is truly a great ride. Its made of scottish leather and black cherry crocidle from France. This is about the tallest horns youll ever see in the States. It is suppose to have a bommer jacket type wear to it so the cherry shows through as you use it. the effect is to offset the burgandy pinstrip in the paint job. each seat he does is one of a kind no duplicates ever, though at times some may look similar. Each one of us have somewhat the same bikes but have done things to make it different from the others. You can all appreciate the individuality this offers. Its not for all people and especially, the faint at heart. But the nice thing we all have in common is and I repeat from an other cvo member these bikes we own were not meant for just anybody. This site you have all put together is special, just as each of the bikes Ive seen here,  hope to see some of you on the road sometime, Ken

Since he's in front of a "shop" perhaps this was done just before replacing the tire. That gives me an idea, as I will be replacing tire soon. However I don't know if I could bring myself to do this, as it must leave rubber particles all over the bike. [smiley=nervous.gif]

Since you asked, check out the following....

Today I was able to take off early from my part-time job, and weather was better then great. So I packed up my digital camera and headed for country. Stopped several times to take some scenic shots before I got too absorbed by the great weather, and beautiful countryside that I've been blessed to be able to ride in. Hope you all enjoy...

First stop is a picture of some vineyards with the Blue Ridge Mountains behind them. Notice the house in the far left hand corner. This is a private residence that sits way off the road, and from the size of it at a distance I can't imagine how huge it would be if I were to get close.

I'm sorry if I left the impression that my summer place was in the Memphis area.  The home above is just outside of Asheville, NC and anyone that wants to stop by for a visit is welcome.  We do have a little trouble keeping the place up, so we'll need to charge admission.  It won't be more than $50.00 a head.

By Spring you'll have a built in pit stop near Lake Guntersville.  Contractor is estimating completion on the home by March 1.  Course, keeping priorities straight the shop will be finished much earlier.

JOCK AS LONG AS AN OUTLAW IS A MEMBER AND RIDES A CVO BIKE, HE CAN VOTE TOO. ;D
??? I think Jock was talking about Jorge's "ear muffs".  I don't think she has a CVO - I could be wrong.

You know reading Jock's comment made me start to write a long diatribe about 1% Clubs and then I realized that I'd already given 15 years of my life to em, why give any more. So my comment is what the Hobbits said when the Goblins were questioning them  " everything and nothing at all "

Looks sweet, loose the black and white, it doesn't do it justice.  You have the funkiest color since mine, nebula yellow and blue, show it off!  Looks tough without the windsheild too, but I know it's necessity this time of year.  Good Pics though, ride safe!

Bad07,
Nice pic, interesting take in B&W. Love the bike. They had one at the local dealer here in Mass. Nice color.

Hey Bad07, that is one sweet looking ride.....I really like the painted frame to match and now that they've gone back to the ole school look of painting the oil bag and springer fork to match......that's cool.  8-)  har!  [smiley=drink.gif] spyder

GOOD QUESTION [smiley=nixweiss.gif]  WHOS THE JUDGE [smiley=confused5.gif]
Title: Re: Nominee: Best CVO Picture 2006
Post by: MJZ on January 26, 2007, 10:42:57 AM
I propose a panel of three judges for [highlight]CVO IDOL [/highlight](Best Picture). They choose the final two for the membership to vote on. How about a trio of very judicial, well informed tasteful pillars of the community that have character and their impartiality would be beyond reproach?
I nominate:
Mrs.WeCVO (voice of compassion and good taste) PAULA
d00d (voice of reason and vast knowledge) RANDY
SPIDERMAN (voice) SIMON
Big B, jus messin wit ya bro. You'd be my first choice for judge;
here come da judge, here come da judge--------------- [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Its great to see all the warm weather pics as I look out the window at a foot of snow and it's -15C! Attached one is from a run "out west" as us easterners say.

Thanks to all of you responding to my recent inaugural post. This computer thing is a challenge for me at best. If I can figure out how I'll set up a gallery of a few scenic roadways from my travels.

Regards from the farm

That's pretty.  Was the light just that good or did you have a filter on it?

Just snapped it with my pocket Sony as the July sun was setting over the Mississippi. I really liked the patina it created.
