New CVO Street Glide seat.
« on: July 25, 2009, 05:29:05 PM »

Did anybody else notice how the seat on the new CVO Street Glide overlaps the gas tank. If those seats are worth a crap maybe we can change out our sorry fitting SERG seats for one of those. T.

I just went back and looked at the HD website and looked at the picture of the SERG. The seat they show on the picture fits nothing like the ones that came on the bike. I never noticed that before. As far as the 3/4 inch gap, I call BS. We ought to make them put on a seat like in the picture. T.

Stock seats suck!  So I am sure that is one of three things that most people dump! I had over 8k with this stock seat (way too many!) and I now have 2k on my corbin!  It looks great, feels great, and it is a quality seat.  At any rate, most folks that ride their scoots any great distances will be dumping the stocker.

Does anyone know if the seat has a rider backrest, or a slot for one. Don't look like it from all the pictures I've seen.

I have the Classic Solo, with a Chrome Detachable Rack from HD.  I have the Back Rest but haven't used it and I have many long rides.

Could you post a picture of your set-up?

It does have a slot for the drivers backrest!

This gap issue is very disturbing, until my bike gets here I have no way of seeing why this is happening is it due to poor support under the seat, and if so why is there a space under the seat left allowing the seat to settle and by the sounds of it put the rider at risk with a unattached seat in the front? I know these are questions that should be directed to Moco, just wondering if anyone has asked them about this?
