You may have considered this already, but if you purchased the wheel and tire warranty at the time you bought the bike, does that void once you swap wheels - even for the other guy (SERG) had he got the warranty? I bought that warranty as well. Not a big issue for you if you don't care to retain the warranty. I read earlier about chrome flaking off  - not sure on what and where though - so do your homework on how those blades have held up for others.

I was fortunate to trip on this site prior to purchasing my SESG and saw some great advice on getting the all-chrome agitators at time of purchase (just like the tire and wheel warraty adice). Dealer agreed if I covered the difference and so I did. What's strange is that the wheels were on back-order (got the bike in Nov) and they said I should just keep the black/chrome rims until the all-chrome come in Jan - I wonder what they plan on doing with the used rims with 700mi on them. I hope I made the right decision on the soon-to-be swap as I only saw one pic on this forum of an all-chrome on a TS -  and that's what I made my decision on (lame). The stock rims have grown on me over the past few months. But then again, I’m like a crow and go for shiny things so bling is good and you’re making the right choice.

Well the SESG definately looks better with the chrome wheels.
....

O.K. if we can get those of you with SESGs to post your thoughts.......if you could trade straight across, would you?

So far, it looks pretty unanamous.

JC,  Your bike looks great but a straight across trade would be a no brainer, IMHO.  Go for it!   :2vrolijk_21:

I like the black wheels on my Spiced Rum ... I agree that for the other colors chrome wheels add a nice touch.

The tire sizes are different both, would that also mean different wheel size as well?

That was my first thought...but all things being equal I would go for it. What were the tire sizes on the SERG?

Per the HD web site:

09 SERG:

D407 130/70B18
D407 180/55B18

10 SESG:

Front  130/70B18 63H
Rear   180/55B18 80H

So what makes them different size?  I'm not sure what the 63H and the 80H stand for on the SESG.......the SERG didn't have that.  But sitting side by side they sure look both the same size. :nixweiss:

Then no question at all---make the swap. I really like those SERG wheels and I like the all chrome on the blue SESG.

Thanks Brad.  Now it makes me curios as to why they didn't list the load rating for the SERG?

Where did you get that the tire sizes are different? The same model tire of the same sizes will be the same tire! What am I missing here? :nixweiss:

Per the HD web site:

09 SERG:

D407 130/70B18
D407 180/55B18

10 SESG:

JC, the number is the Load Rating and the letter is the Speed Rating. I believe you'll find the same ratings on the SERG as the SESG. And again, I don't see how the tires would be different sizes, regardless of whether they use the same wheel size. ;)
