Jet hot Coating for head pipe.
« on: August 13, 2009, 08:29:53 PM »

I was just wondering what is a fair price for the jet hot coating on the catless header and if on average is the reduction in heat off the head pipe really noticeable.  Basically do you get the bang for the buck? Thanks in advance CAHDBIKER

I had Jet-Hot do a cat-less header and the crossover done in extreme sterling $230 + shipping.  The price included the $50 to remove the chrome.  I have not installed as I am waiting on my TTS and Fullsacs.

I just had Central CT Coatings do mine with chrome removal for $180
http://www.centralctcoatings.com/

Just installed it today so can't answer question regarding temperature reduction. Installing the non cat head-pipe did eliminate some minor pinging I had between 2800 and 3000 rpm's, but didn't get a chance to ride enough to make judgement on temp yet.

LarryB

I used Calico Coating for some of my motor parts this last time. Turn around time was 3-4 days. They do ceramic for the pipes also. Very reasonable and close to you.
