this trip began almost 10 months ago at MV when Jock and Brad talked to me about doing a trip to Newfoundland.
we knew to make it work it would need to be a small group and would take approx 2 weeks round trip, unfortunately once the schedule began to come together it was no longer going to work for Brad and Val.
to allow for the extra travel time for Jock the plan was to leave MA on Sunday morning, then Sue and i received an invitation to a wedding in ME Friday night.
it made no sense for us to travel to ME on Friday, return to MA on Saturday and travel back through ME on Sunday.
a slight change in plans had Jock and Steve meet us in northern ME Sunday night at our intended first night location.

Day 1 home to Auburn ME to attend wedding

My wife and I have been talking about making this trip for a couple of years. One of our bucket list trips. As a youngster I have been to PEI a few times on a travel hockey team. Always loved it there and would love to see Nova Scotia and Newfoundland.
Looks like you guys had a great time. Musta been tough to come home to reality and back to the daily grind

I'm glad you were all able to enjoy the trip without any mechanical or weather problems. It looks like the weather was very cooperative, what were the daily conditions like??
Seems like a few good destinations to travel to next summer. We've been to Maine (Bar Harbor, Acadia NP) a few times but have always had the urge to go further north and east..

july average is high 60s to low 70s we had 3 days around 80

Good Talking to you wile waiting for the ferry in Argentia, nice to see you had a good time on the Rock.
We just got home from our trip to Gettysburg PA stayed in NH and had a great Time.

A testament to the power of water and nature in general. I hope all is well with your friend and his family, and secondary to their well being I also hope they had a minimum amount of damage to any personal property.

dont believe there was any personal property loss for anyone. but its gonna be a while before that road gets fixed
