D H

You sure do it up big when you do it! Way to make her yours. Love to see her in person. Ride safe and keep the painted parts up.

Nice job Simon, hope to see you and Keith (Bubba Love) in AZ. We had a great time at Sandie's with you last summer.  Lou and Terry

Most of the pictures show a Clearviews that was modified/trimmed to work with the handlebars.
I have since switched to a tall National V-Stream which also allows the mirrors to clear and the fork to lock and does look "cut".
So before you ask about buffeting and whatever, I will say that the V-stream works just as well as the Clearviews for me.
At 90+ mph I don't think any windshield is going to work fantastic. Nor will they work with crosswinds.
I will say that I recently rode a stock FLTR from Austin, TX to Albuquerque, NM and I found that I felt the wind more
on the FLTR than on my FLTRUSE. I think the wind deflectors and the lowers on the FLTRUSE really help out the wind situation quite a bit.

The bike looks great!  Nice job on "making it yours".  :2vrolijk_21:  In looking at your dyno chart though, the Torque comes on way too late in my opinion.  I don't ever hang around 4200 rpms.  That's a good thing to know on those S&S cams, because those are the ones that my dealer was trying to get me to put in.  I'd never realize their potential with them with the TQ coming on so late.  I prefer something that will start coming on at around 2700 and peak at about 3500rpms....but that's just me.

When the dealer did engine mods on the wife's Deluxe I got a torque curve similar to yours and I took it back. I do not believe a large v-twin should ever have a deep drop from 2-3G. That kind of performance reminds me of the two cycle dirt bikes of the 70s where you had to red line them to get "on peak". I rode a friends SG yesterday and it had no power till 3500.????????? Not for me. I'd say wrong cam or not enough back pressure.

You know the curve looks like chit but the bike runs great. The curve is 5th gear and wide open throttle. I don't run wide open when I am in the 2.2-3.2k rpm range. I think the chart is just a point in time under one set of parameters and doesn't reflect the way the machine behaves.

I do believe that the way it feels is more important than numbers on the graph. Enjoy what I think is the best bike on the planet. Long live the SERG!

How do you find your Works suspension working? Any issues with it?
