Never was a big fan of that red tank badge...so to celebrate my 1 year anniversary with the SERGU I made a change. Really pleased with the look.

Thanks! No real problems lining them up. The curvature of the emblem sorta forces you to place it in the right area. I wanted to place them in that center strip of graphics on the tank. The first side was easy. I went back and forth a few times on the second side making sure it matched. That was the tough part.

My good friend has the same bike but in charcoal. I too thought that the original Harley logo

was a bit weak and more of a after thought.

Your new tank emblem looks like it should of been there from the start!

I've been thinking about doing that mod since the day I bought mine. I wasn't sure how it would match the lines on the tank and have been waiting for someone else to try it. It looks very nice. Where did you get yours?

New Castle H-D has the best price, $54.58 each. Ohiobellboy did a nice job finding that info.

14100222 and 14100223. That's the numbers. Someone else found them. I just googled them and started looking at the prices from the first couple of dealers that popped up.

Really looks good. Another mod that should have been done at the factory. Any chance you could post another pic directly from the side so we can see how well the curve of the emblem matches the painted lines?

I just ordered mine today. I called Newcastle, they wouldn't sell them for $54.58 each, the price was $62.07 then they jacked you $17.98 for shipping USPS which is BS. Must be a run on these and they got smart. I ended up going to reliable Surdyke.com and got them there. One of the members were willing to sell them for $110 but you had to cut and piece your own 3M on the back which I guess was smarter than spending $140 but not easier!

Hmm,,, I might be able to spend less than that in gas if I ride over. I wonder if my local dealer will match that price. Keep in mind they prolly have to use a sturdier box for shipping so they don't get damaged.

Huh?!!! That's strange. Two weeks ago I ordered them on-line at $54.58 each. Guess I started something.

Wonder when I can expect my commision check?

I sent an email to Newcastle HD last nite and got a reply confirming the price at $54.58 so I went on line and got the $62.07 so I did the Live online help thing and they just said sorry if the email gave you the wrong info but $62.07 + $17.60 shipping is the price ...Real shame as I had put over $1000 worth of goods on my wishlist for next week thinking I had found a better deal than Surdyke and LSHD1 oh well their loss then I found cyclepartsforless.com prices are as good or better when you take into account the free shipping on purchase over $99 they are part of Kutter Harley-Davidson Janesville, Wi 53545

These are great.
But as is standard we are being shafted in Europe (England) by profiteers.
Same part numbers are $152 USD EACH at HD dealers. Even our duty free supply they are $121 USD plus shipping.
Unfortunately, Surdyke will not ship outside USA.
And you guys moan at $66 + shipping!!!!
Why such a huge difference in prices?

I would have liked these too, but not at these prices.

OK, These seem to be 2012 part #'s. The 2011 are different part #'s, old #'s . Will either work for our 11 FLTRUSE's. The 12's seem to be about 5.00 higher at retail.

I don't see any difference between the 2011 and 2012 emblems. No change was made to the gas tank which pretty much dictates the fit.

As far as cost, maybe the extra $5.00 is their little 'surcharge' for making these un-restricted.

I just had a thought. If Harley wanted to really make a splash selling and profiting from emblem sales they could put ugly arse badges on ALL CVOs!

Talked to my parts guy at the stealer, was upfront with him about what I wanted to do. He double checked as he thought they were restricted at first but after digging deep in his computer he found that they actually are not restricted. Of course, since they are the money grubbing, get every penny from us they can type of stealer, he quoted me a price of $89.00 each.

Anyway, everybody should be able to get them easily, just have to get them for a fair price !

Tracking says mine will be here tomorrow. I paid $142 & change shipped from Surdyke.com. I took the stock emblems off tonight, and after I cleaned it up, i sat there and admired the paint job and started liking how the fairing graphics flowed right into the gas tank. After looking at it for a while, I'm kinda liking it without any emblem, the gas tank looks sweet all waxed up with the speckled graphics. I may give it a week before i put the new screaming eagle emblem. You may just see me trying to sell them? I will try and shoot some pictures and post them.

I hear ya Rio. Before I installed the new emblems I had to admire the bare look too. That big oval tank badge certainly hid the purty Quartzite graphics.

Took 1 medium size cigar! I got some fishing line, doubled it up, looped it through the round end of a box wrench on both sides and pulle it through and away. A little goo be gone to get the left over sticky 3M which was a pain, and it was done.

So I took off my oval badges today, wrapped a piece of fishing line around my two index fingers like you would with dental floss and sawed it thru the tape, some goo gone and done.

I see why some would like the clean look as it does look nice but for me I will like it better with the new badges. I think it's a little too plain for me but, I'm a chrome freak and the eagle badge is one of the coolest badges HD ever did and it looks great on Jerry's scoot so I know it'll look good on mine too.
