Sad but true the CVO Road Glide Ultra's both in 2011 and now in 2015 have the plainest most conservative paint job of any of the CVO's  Not sure why they will not do nice graphics like they have done on the 14 and 15 limited, or the Bat Wing CVO ultras at least.

The road glide is the best touring bike harley makes in my opinion.

Since yesterday I have a few questions for you.  Are you going to run the Tourpack in the solo position when you have it on?  If so could you post a picture of it on in the solo spot, and can you use the tp back rest?

Is that the HD wind splitter?  How tall?  how does it compare to stock?  How tall are you?

Thanks
Hi Dave, thanks for the replies - had a busy day Saturday and then yesterday went with a group to the Oyster Run bike rally in Anacortes, WA, pretty good day, foggy in the morning but sunny after that, people were saying about 15 to 20,000 bikes showed up - mine was the only 2015 fltruse that we saw which seemed a little odd as I was hoping to see the other colors. To your questions - my wife and I ride two up when I'm not riding solo so can't help with the solo / KTP set up. I'm 6'1" (32" inseam) and the windshield is the 12" windsplitter ($238?), took a chance and threw it on Friday night since the local MD had one, but it's not the right windshield for me, too much wind in the face for my liking and not nearly as functional or cool as the recurve Windvest that I had on my 08 Fltr. I'll be looking for another solution for sure.

As to the comments on this string regarding the colors - I wasn't sure about blue myself but without seeing one in real life and after seeing those initial (not very good) profile only photos on the HD website I selected the blue and so far I am loving it. At sunset and sunrise the bike appears to be a deep purple and people riding behind thought maybe even "blackened purple", during high noon it absolutely pops brightly but still seems to change as you walk around it. Everyone that saw the bike was blown away with the color and the bike - 2 others in our group have already stated their intention trade in their CUSE's and try and find other 2015 Fltruse bikes.

The bike rides so well compared to my 13 Cuse8, I will definitely be hitting the road more often. So far, so good.

Day I picked up the bike I did a complete Fullsac exhaust an TTS Master tune with Map.  I also did custom dynamic Halo Ringz up front and red LEDs in the rear bullets and a Custom Dynamics module to make the bullets run, brake and turn, add a module for the tour pack too.  Then the chrome trim for the Tour pack light bar, and new saddle bag latches with out reflectors in them.  Also removed the rear bag guards and put bag supports on.

Setting up the tour pack to be able to be removed is the next project.  Not sure if solo set up or not yet.  Will also replace rear floor boards with foot pegs or nothing.  Depending on how these bars feel on a 600 mile day, it may well get 14" Monkey bars  like my CVO King has, and like my Skunk had.
Looking forward to seeing some photos of these mods, they sound great. Also, if you happen to post a video or audio file of your bike with the Fullsac, that would be awesome, I'm trying to figure out which way to go in that regard myself (always have done 2 into 1's, usually a VH Pro Pipe or D&D). Thanks Dave

This is our set up, Fullsac DX pipes, 2" glass wrapped baffles and Fullsac fuel map. Sounds and runs great. Solo set up with Mustang solo seat and backrest.

Now we just need to figure out how to get the tag mounted below the light bar. Going to try a HD#67900008 tag bracket but I don't know if a light bar on a 2015 CVO RG Ultra is the same as a '14 SG, RK or a standard RG.

Is this some sort of optical illusion? is the solo seat further back than the stock seat or did you move the tourpak up closer to close out the space normally used by the BSR?

How about some close up to highlight the different in seating position(if any) for the driver with the Mustang Solo versus the CVO Seat provided with the bike.

Thanks, DH

I am looking into running my King tour pack in solo like yours.  On my last two bikes I ran a chopped in the solo.

I am sure that is on the solo quick detach mount correct?  Is the tour pack bolted in the normal holes on the rack?  Are you using the original holes in the King pack?

It does not look like your using the king pack as your back rest correct?

Would it be possible to mount the king on the solo so you could use the king back rest?

Any issues opening your bag lids?  Does the bag light still shine into the bag?

Thank you in advance for all the answers.

Now we just need to figure out how to get the tag mounted below the light bar. Going to try a HD#67900008 tag bracket but I don't know if a light bar on a 2015 CVO RG Ultra is the same as a '14 SG, RK or a standard RG.

That tag bracket will work. I put that tag bracket on my 2014 CVO Ultra Limited. The 2015 CVO RG Ultra has the same light bar as the 2014/15 CVO Ultra Limited. I had to grind some of the material around the eyelets where the bolts go through to hold it onto the light bar. I also used the Kuryakyn Curved Lighted LED License Plate Frame CVO Road/ Street Glides #3144 that I wired into the harness for the plate light. I would post pictures but I traded the bike in already for 2015 CVO RG Ultra that is not here yet.

We did use the solo bracket on the king tour pac using all factory holes, no drilling required. The mustang backrest supports your lower back so once you adjust the mustang backrest you have 3/4 of an inch to move the tour pac to support your upper back and shoulders. If you need more adjustment simply order a George Anderson plate to have a total adjustment of 3" but for all of us, 5'9 to 5'11 we were able to find a position that worked well. You get the full benefit of rear speakers and the comfort of full support from you lower back to almost your shoulders. We only take trips nowadays from Bama to Montana and beyond and this setup worked well on our old CVO SG's and Roadglides and fits great on these 2015's as well. The HD tag bracket 67900008 did work fine with a little grinding around the mounting holes which are out of site. Here's some more pics and I will be doing my Big Blue one when the parts arrive.
