Lids do close easily if you close the latch once it clears the tour pac. Lamps work fine

You know I gotta say that I REALLY REALLY HATE THIS WEBSITE!!!!!!
Well, let me rephrase, my wallet hates this website.

No matter how much I swear I am going to keep it simple this time around. (Yes I have a bike coming..) Let's just install some rear shocks, maybe Bitubos and call it quits. Well, you know, an extra 10hp and some torgue would be nice. Maybe a Fullsac DX Pipe, 1.75" Cores and a tuner is worth it. Oh and some LED bullet lights/turn signals and then whatever it is that makes the brakes flash intermittently when activated.

Now THIS! Dammit, I ride solo like 97% of the time. Now I'm looking at Mustang Solo Seat w Backrest, Solo Detach Mount and Bracket.

Criminey, when will this obsession end?

You need solo bracket, docking kit, tag bracket 67900008 and stubby antennas keeps them ou of you face. All bolt on but you need to trim the tag bracket at the mounting holes.

Oh I forgot, I'm waing on my solo seat, backrest and rear seat pillion to be made by Corbin because they offer the same style solo in a heated seat. You can check out the Classic Solo on their website. Takes about 4 weeks because they build everything out of the same cut of leather.

Does the wiring need a disconnect or is that already on the bike as shipped?

All the wiring including the antenna cables from the harness to the tour pack use connectors and roll up nicely to fit under the seat. When I did mine I removed the saddlebag latch locks wiring from the harness just under the seat. I rerouted the latch lock wiring behind the chrome rails that run along side the top of the fender. It gives it a nice clean look and makes it easier when you pull the tour pack off.

I already have the tag bracket for a Street glide, a lighted plate frame, a corbin solo seat and oval back rest.  Looks like I will be ordering two point docking hard ware and the solo tour pack mount.  My last two road glides I ran the chopped in the solo, so it still looks good with the king and weight distribution is better.  I ride solo, as my wife has her own bikes.

Even though these King Tour Pacs will hold two full helmets they don't look as bulky as the old style Kings. I also did my 09' CVO RG with the solo and Chopped tour pac but I think these look good moved up and you can put a ton in them and they are very very Comfortable

So a semi-hijack but I was curious on the long trips to Montana and beyond, what do you use for storage? Do you get everything into the saddlebags and tourpak or do you also tie down some kind of a bag to the luggage rack? Even though I ride solo, I fill both saddlebags, the tourpak and then use a Kuryakyn Bag that stores in the BSR position. I don't put anything on the luggage rack usually.

We made the sales lady @ Pelham Heart of Dixie HD very happy last week.

I notice the 3 flavors of CVO RG in the picture plus a "limited"? Did each of you buy a bike that day? Or just the Blue and Red CVO RGs ?

Simon, I don't know if you noticed it but i use my king tourpak in the solo position for the MV trips.
I use the tourpak for clothes, left bag for bike stuff, right bag for a laptop, small miscellaneous items and some extra room.

I stuff my rain gear in a bag an keep that stuffed in the space between the solo seat and tourpak, also stuff the half cover in that same location.
I don't load the rack, but keep a spider strap handy and use the rack for the times the jacket comes off.

Takes me 10 minutes to switch the tourpak from the 2 up bracket to the solo quick detach bracket.

I like the way it looks as well in the solo position.

Appreciate the response Duane. Economy in packing is the key. I have used the luggage rack for my heavy coat as well when the sun comes out a shining. I tend to carry a little more gear in my saddlebags maybe than most. Spare gallon of gas, toolkit, 3 kinds of gloves, heated vest/glooves, rain gear (like your suggestion), microfiber cloth, cleaning products, bungee cords ... to name most of them. Plus I have added need for a C-PAP machine that while small still takes up space equivalent to a pair of shoes. I think I will figure out how to reduce my load and maybe compress some of it into smaller packaging cause that solo setup sure looks comfortable.
